Ludhiana: A complaint of disrespect to the national flag was on Wednesday filed against a school on Chandigarh Road.

In the complaint to deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Dhruman Nimbale, the Punjab president of Hindu Sanyukt Morcha, Rajiv Tandon, has alleged that the national flag at the school was kept untidy and was also torn. "I noticed there were flags of different countries in the school; however, the Indian flag was quite untidy and was torn from one side. I immediately called up the police, and the DCP sent a team which took the national flag along with it with all respect."

He added that he had also sbmitted a written complaint. When contacted, deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Dhruman Nimbale confirmed that he had received the complaint. "I have asked ACP (east) Gurjit Singh and a district magistrate to inquire the matter; the team will submit a report within three days."
