LUDHIANA: Three youngsters from the city, who came together with their shared love for photography, are now using their passion as a means to achieve a larger cause. They are celebrating the resilience of womanhood by singling out women who have braved crimes and started all over again.
All of 22, Kanveen, a resident of Model Town, said the love for the camera, which she nursed from childhood, gave her a rare depth of perception.

A fashion design course also fuelled her passion for the lens. "My mother gifted me a camera, which I used to click pictures for my fashion design course. I love travelling and Kerala is my favourite destination. The emerald country is the perfect place to be in tune with nature and capture spectacular sights on film," said Kanveen.
Kanveen ran into Deepak and Puneet on Facebook. They were doing MBA through correspondence and shared her love for photography. "Now we are best of friends and are working together," said Kanveen.
Deepak Roy, a resident of Rahon Road said they have formed a company through which they do both professional and social work. "We are clicking profiles of young models who cannot get a portfolio made due to lack of money. We also take pictures free of cost for NGOs," said Deepak.
Their next project is to identify women who have faced crimes and survived to fight back. "We will also take pictures of women doing martial arts to send the message that they are strong and don't need to be scared of anyone."
Puneet Arora, a resident of Sector 39, Chandigarh Road, said they dream of making the company one of the best known production companies of the world. "We will make documentaries in future. As of now, we are finding brave women and for that we are sending messages on facebook and other social networking sites as well,"said Puneet.
