(I-T) department seeking to submit more documents and evidence in the three tax evasion cases against chief minister Amarinder Singh and his son, Raninder. All these cases will next be heard in the court of chief judicial magistrate P S Kaleka on July 16.

The I-T department had filed one case of evasion against the CM and the other two cases are against Raninder.

The counsel for I-T department, Rakesh Gupta, said they had filed the application under Section 311 of CrPC, seeking the court’s permission to allow them to submit more documents as evidence, as they had been able to procure the same now and these documents were crucial to the cases. He said the court accepted his application.
