LUDHIANA: Colourful cultural programmes marked the Teej celebration at Everest Public Senior Secondary School on Tuesday.
Students from all the classes celebrated the festival with splendid pomp and show. They came dressed in traditional Punjabi attire and the tiny-tots presented a vibrant song and dance performance.
The students feasted on 'Kheer and 'Malpuye' at the joyous 'Teej mela'.
A mehendi competition for senior classes was also organised, while girls from secondary and senior secondary classes performed 'Giddha', 'Bhangra' and enjoyed 'kikli'.
In-charge of cultural activities Shashi Sharma motivated the students to participate in such cultural programmes.
Principal Asha Sharma participated in the celebrations and distributed sweets and prizes to students.
