Suicide by migrant labourer exposed Punjab government’s ration distribution system: Youth Akali Dal

. The victim was going to Police station focal Point from last ten days but he was not given ration and he committed suicide in

Rajiv Gandhi colony

.

Gurdeep Singh Gosha said that the

Punjab government

claimed that they have distributed ration to 15 lakh people but the death of migrant has exposed it's claims. The victim had also registered on ration distribution helpline 1905 but he was not given any help.

Gurdeep Gosha also said that high level probe should be done to check the ration distribution centre and action should be taken against the guilty officials. The government should also provide compensation to the family members.

Youth Akali Dal felicitates Hazur Sahib Pilgrims

The Youth Akali Dal district President Gurdeep Singh Gosha felicitated pilgrims from Hazur Sahib after they were sent home from quarantine centres. Gurdeep Singh Gosha showered flowers and presented bouquet of flowers to pilgrims.

Gurdeep Singh Gosha said that the pilgrims were treated badly by the government on their return to Punjab. They were not even provided with good quality food and other basic facilities in quarantine centres. Now as the pilgrims were sent back home from quarantine centres, they have felicitated them as they are going their homes after two months.
