LUDHIANA: With his dogged inning of 76 runs on the first day of the third test match against England, Sachin Tendulkar reached yet another milestone of scoring 34,000 runs, at Kolkata on Wednesday.
When TOI spoke to the budding cricketers of the Ludhiana Cricket Academy, who train at the Arya College grounds, the general opinion seemed to be that the "Master Blaster's" feat is another proof of his greatness as a cricketer and none in India can even imagine his retirement.

Gurkaran Singh, 17, a cricketer from Dugri, said, "Sachin is a God in cricket. This inning was very good as he scored under pressure. Completing 34,000 runs in international cricket alone is unbelievable, but I think he is still capable of scoring many more. He is so fit that he can go on to play for another five years."
"34,000 runs are not scored by chance but involve a lifetime of playing excellent cricket. And this is not the end for Sachin as he has broken every record to keep going because he can still perform. He proved it with his inning on Wednesday," said another budding cricketer from Civil Lines Chirag, 18.
For Anirudh, 16, of Kitchlu Nagar, watching Sachin's calm and composed innings was yet another lesson as he stuck to the crease while others kept losing their wicket. "It is no surprise that Sachin has 34,000 runs to his name now," he added.
Sahil, 15, Kishore Nagar, felt Sachin's knock was a hint of his return to form and there would be many more such innings in store from the Master Blaster.
