PSPCL issues alternate numbers for plaints
Ludhiana: In wake of complaints from several consumers regarding the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSCL)’s helpline number 1912 remaining busy quite often, PSPCL’s chief engineer Ludhiana zone Inderpal Singh on Monday urged residents to use alternate numbers. Singh also advised people to use PSPCL’s mobile application to lodge their complaints by following a simple procedure. Singh said, “In unavoidable situations such as heavy rainfall, accompanied by dust and windstorm, the residents face disruption in power supply. In such situations, in addition to 1912, consumers can register their complaints via other modes as well.”“For logging a complaint via SMS the consumer can send “NO SUPPLY” on 1912 and can also give a missed call at toll-free number 1800-180-1512. Besides this, they can also message file a complaint on PSPCL’s Whatsapp number 9646101912 or on its consumer service application. The residents can also call my office at 9646122070 or 9646122158 to register their complaints,” he added. The chief engineer also said, “The PSPCL is doing its best to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Our officers and staff are monitoring the demand situation and we are available round the clock to take care of any sudden faults. We are also working to make the supply system more efficient in the city.”“As far as the scheduled shutdowns are concerned we inform the residents regarding the same well in advance,” he said. Singh also released the direct numbers of the 28 circles under all the divisional offices of the PSPCL, on which the residents can log in their complaints.
