Ludhiana: Samrala police on Sunday booked one person for attempt to murder after one of them allegedly fired at a person over an old feud in

. Accused are identified as Paramvir Singh Param and

Vicky of Gahilewal village

and seven to eight other accused persons.

Complainant Paramvir

Singh of Mushkabad told the police that he talked to a girl because of which the accused had grudge against him. He added that they came to his house on May 14, at 8.30 pm and attacked him.
The complainant further said Param and another unidentified youth had a pistol and Vicky had a sword and the other accused also had sharp weapons, who came out of our house and started shouting. He added that Paramvir Param fired with his pistol and the bullet hit him in the thigh, after which he along with others fled.
