Oath taking ceremony of 95 councillors on March 26
The swearing in ceremony of 95 councillors and elections for the post of Mayor, senior deputy mayor and deputy mayor will take place on Monday that is March 26 at MC meeting hall. The divisional commissioner patiala PK Meena has fixed the date for the function that was much awaited.

The MC Commissioner Jaskiran Singh confirmed the same and said they have made all arrangements for the ceremony.
The MC polls were conducted on February 24 and results were announced on February 27. The councillors of 95 wards will be taking oath on Monday.
The senior leaders Balkar Singh, Dr Jaiparkash, Shyam Sunder malhotra and district Congress president Gurpreet Gogi are in race for Mayor.
