NRIs hail Trump's election
LUDHIANA: Notwithstanding the protests against US president elect Donald Trump, a section of NRIs from Ludhiana lend their weight behind Trump claiming that he would be good for India in every possible way.
Anil K Monga, CEO, Victory International; trustee, American Indian Foundation; and chairman of Board Dream and Beauty Trust (Ludhiana) in Edison, New Jersey, posted his pic with the message saying, "We are blessed to have a leader like Trump as our president, who will work unconditionally with India as a true friend in White House. Congratulations to all!"
Tejinder Singh Sekhon, a businessman from Gerrard Cross in the UK, also termed Trump's victory as a good thing for India and Indian diaspora. "He is a straight forward person who does not mince words and calls spade a spade. He has spoken only against those who are running drugs cartel and are in anti-social activities. I think that the Indian diaspora is happy and it would be a beginning of a new era in the Indo-American relations."
Srinivas Rao, an IT professional from Dallas City, said the Indian community hopes for positive outcome.
