Ludhiana: Vigilance sleuths have now nabbed a property dealer for his alleged involvement in the preparation of the "fake sale deed" of NRI Deep Singh, making him the ninth accused in the case so far.

Gurjot Singh's arrest follows that of advocate Gurcharan Singh Marwaha for reportedly facilitating the registration of land.
VB sleuths said Gurjot used to run an agency called ‘Land Mark Real Estate' along with yet another accused in the case, Raghbir Singh. Gurjot was arrested in the Sidhwan Bet police station area by DSP VB (range II) Wednesday. He was produced in court Thursday, which sent him to one-day police remand. The other accused in the case include tehsildar Jagsir Singh Saran, buyer Deepak Goel, nambardar Baghel Singh, registry clerk Krishan Gopal, Amit Gaur, the fake Deep Singh and a computer operator.
