Not anti-India, I am anti-Modi, says Kanhaiya Kumar in Ludhiana
LUDHIANA: Former JNU students union president Kanhaiya Kumar began his address at a seminar organized by the Punjabi Sahitya Akadmi with the Indian communists' trademark greeting:“Lal salam“. The seminar was supported by All India Student Federation (AISF).

According to him, people who had an alliance with the Mehbooba Mufti government were anti-national. Accusing the ruling government of failing to check inflation and addressing other issues, he said he was targeted for being against Modi by people who equated Modi with India.
On being asked about allegations of being anti-national, he said this was a narrative designed by the RSS against democratic and progressive organisations.
When asked how he advocated a stance against OBCs but opposed the party that gave a chance to an OBC candidate to become PM, he said Modi finished off the OBC reservation after coming to power. In any case, he said, he wanted a casteless society.
