Ludhiana: The
Dehlon
police on Thursday booked a man for harassing women devotees of a gurdwara in
Jarkhar
village, allegedly over a row with the gurdwara management committee.
The FIR has been lodged against Dilbagh Singh, 40, of Jarkhar on the complaint of
Surinder Singh who is the chairperson of the gurdwara management committee.
Surinder Singh said on March 8 the accused came to the gurdwara, abused him and also harassed the women devotees by making objectionable gestures.
A complaint was lodged in this matter on March 18 by Surinder Singh. Sub inspector Jagjeet Singh said an enquiry was marked following which a case has been registered under sections 354-A (sexual harassment) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of
IPC
