Man arrested for molesting 4-year-old

LUDHIANA: Police have arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly trying to molest a 4-year-old girl playing outside her house on Monday.
The mother in her police statement said that the girl was playing outside the house in the evening but after some time they failed to locate her. As they started looking for the child, they came to know that the accused had taken her to his house in the neighbourhood.
The complainant further stated that as they reached the accused's house, they found that he was trying to assault the girl.
Following the complaint, police have lodged an FIR against the accused under the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
Investigating officer Jasvir Singh said parents of the victim and the accused are labourers and the police has arrested the accused after getting a complaint from the family of the victim. tnn
