Ludhiana rural police arrests a person for murder of his elderly master

LUDHIANA: Ludhiana rural police on Sunday arrested a migrant worker for the murder of his elderly master. The accused was identified as around 45 years old Shambhu of Madhepur in Bihar, presently living in Kaunke Khosa village.The complainant Sukhwinder Singh, son of the deceased Charan Singh (aged around 70 years), said that he is engaged in agriculture and they live four in the house including his wife Karamjit Kaur, mother Malkeet Kaur and father Charan Singh. He added that he has kept cattle at home and for their care he has kept migrant labourer Shambhu who has been working in his house for 20-22 years.The complainant said that his father looked after the agriculture-related work and on 24 August in the evening, when their worker Shambhu was doing agricultural work with his father, there was a quarrel between them. He added that later his family had dinner and started preparing for sleep.The Son of the deceased told cops that their house had two doors and they locked those. He added that his father slept in the courtyard of the house as usual but fell asleep and our labourer fell asleep in the Verandah where cattle are there and slept with a fan on the side of bed. The complainant said that the accused later murdered his father.
