Ludhiana man dies by suicide after wife moves in with paramour, 2 booked.
Ludhiana: A 32-year-old labourer ended his life by hanging himself at his residence in the Basant Nagar area of Daba after discovering that his wife, who had recently deserted him, had begun living with another man.The deceased, identified as Sarwan Singh, had been married to Sukhwinder Kaur for several years. The couple shares two children. According to the police, the relationship between the spouses was fraught with tension, frequently resulting in domestic disputes.
Investigating officer ASI Resham Singh from the Daba police station stated that Sukhwinder had a history of leaving the marital home for her parental residence following arguments, though she had always returned in the past. However, following a recent fight a few days ago, she left the house again, leaving their children behind with Sarwan.The situation took a fatal turn when Sarwan learned that Sukhwinder was residing with her paramour, Jasvir Singh, at his home. Distraught by this discovery, Sarwan took the extreme step of hanging himself from0 a ceiling fan in his house.Acting on a complaint filed by the deceased's brother, Rajwinder Singh, the police have registered a case against Sukhwinder Kaur and Jasvir Singh. The FIR has been lodged under Sections 108 (abetment to suicide) and 3(5) (criminal act by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).ASI Resham Singh added that while the case has been officially recorded, both accused individuals are currently at large. Police teams are conducting raids to apprehend them as the investigation continues.
