Local Congress leader seeks FIR against Sadhvi Pragya

LUDHIANA: Congress leader Gursimran Singh Mand on Friday gave a complaint to Ludhiana police commissioner Rakesh Aggarwal seeking registration of sedition case against BJP MP from Bhopal Sadhvi Pragya for allegedly referring to Nathuram Godse as “Deshbhakt” in her speech in parliament recently.
Mand said Sadhvi Pragya’s conduct was nothing less than sedition and strict action should be taken against her.Expressing concern over the silence of most of the BJP leaders on the issue, he alleged that several other leaders in the saffron party were making controversial statements every other day.
Mand expressed hope that an FIR would be registered against Sadhvi Pragya, which will set an example for others. “If no action is taken against her now, it would set a very bad precedent and tomorrow more people will indulge into acts like these and insult our great leaders,” he said.
