Kids have a ball at Adidev's birthday

LUDHIANA: It was a birthday party where children had fun in the mall, playing games and getting a tattoo done. The party was organised by businessman Naveen Panday on his son Adidev's third birthday. The party, held at Gigabite restaurant of MBD mall, had over 35 kids enjoying rides at slides and playing exciting games. Some were busy getting tatoos on their hands, as a tatoo artist was specially called up for these kids.
Resident of South City, Panday said the first birthday of their son was celebrated at Singapore and the second at home, but on the third birthday they wanted something different, so decided mall as a venue. He said all the games in the mall were made free for the kids so that they can enjoy as much as they want. Leaving apart the family members, no one else was invited for the party and it was kids everywhere. Parents had dropped their kids and left. He said even he played the games after so many years. His wife Punya, a manager with an MNC, said the idea of celebrating in a mall and with the games came to her mind after many deliberation. She said partying in a restaurant and hotel is boring because there, one can only dance to bollywood numbers. She wanted her son to remember that his parents had done something different on his third birthday. Naveen and Punya gifted a cricket set to their son, as he is crazy about cricket. Adidev's grandfather, Deepak said seeing the kids enjoy, he wished he could have celebrated his son Naveen's birthday just like this. But three decades ago, neither there were malls nor the games. Grandmother Renu said not only kids, even she had a lot of fun in the party.
