Ignored by corporation, Youth Akali Dal maintains parks in Dugri

LUDHIANA: Ignored by

municipal corporation

and area councillor, the Youth Akali Dal workers led by district president Meetpal Singh Dugri along with area residents started drive to clean and maintain parks in ward 44 in Dugri area.


Due to poor condition of

park

and problems being faced by area residents, Youth Akali Dal workers cleaned the park in LIG

colony

and also promised to maintain the park in future also.

District president of Youth Akali Dal Meetpal Singh Dugri said that from last one year Congress Governed Municipal Corporation and area councilor has ignored the ward number 44 which is one of the posh locality of the city. He said that the people of Dugri were facing problems but the Congress councilor Harkaran Singh Vaid has not visited the ward after winning the elections.

Meetapl Singh Dugri said that from last one year the people were hopeful that MC or area councilor will redress their problems and initiate development of the ward. As the MC and councilor has ignored the ward, the Youth Akali Dal have decided to clean and maintain the parks of ward on routine basis.

Meetpal Singh Dugri told people that in the absence of area councilor, he will be available for the area residents everyday.
