On November 18, Jimmy of

Gadigarh

in Jammu was arrested by Ludhiana police in Amit Sharma's murder case.

On January 14, 2016, two men on bike had shot Sharma (35) near Rakh Bagh of Ludhiana. In a document submitted by police before the court, it said that during investigation of the Amit Sharma murder case, Jimmy revealed that Johal of Gaggar Di Patti in

Jandyala

had met him in Glasgow in July-August 2016. They said Jimmy showed him pictures of the licensed weapon of his cousin Tarlok Singh alias Laddi of Jammu, which he had clicked at some function and sent to him.

The document stated that Jagtar Singh had told Jimmy that he could arrange weapons through Laddi. Jagtar later sent the money to Laddi through him. Jagtar had told Jimmy that through this act, they had to serve the Panth.

Police officials said the document claimed Jimmy told his interrogators that in November last year, Laddi had put two weapons in a box near a milestone in Jaffarwal. He told them someone had picked the weapons from that place after being told to do so by Jagtar Singh.

Jimmy said he and Jagtar would send money from abroad to Punjab and other states. Jimmy also told cops that with these weapons were to be used for killing Shiv Sena and other leaders. However, during court proceedings recently, Jimmy said he had sent Rs28,000 to his cousin

Trilok

through

Western Union

for "social work at a gurdwara."
