Ludhiana: A number of Muslim women on Saturday marched in Ludhiana in support of a Muslim girl student, who was allegedly heckled by a group of youth in a college in Karnataka.
The Hijab march, led by

Shahi Imam Punjab

and president of Jamat Majlis-e-Ahrar Islam, Maulana Usman Ludhianvi, started from

Namdhari Shaheed Smarak

. The protesters finally reached Jama Masjid passing through Masjid Ahrar Brown Road to Subhani building, Shahpur Road, near Old Jail Road and near civil hospital. A number of Muslim school girls and their family members participated in the march.

Punjab Maulana Muhammad Usman Ludhianvi said today these daughters and brothers of Punjab and Ludhiana have gathered to salute their brave Karnataka sister, who showed bravery and courage in front of dozens of goons and gave new encouragement to the daughters of the world. He added that Muskan’s ‘Allah Hu Akbar’ is being heard all over the world today.
Shahi Imam said those who do politics in the name of religion should open their ears and listen. He added that they will not allow anyone to rob them of their religious freedom.
