, posted at police line Ludhiana, has shot himself on duty with service weapon, on Saturday morning.
The cop has sustained one bullet injury in his stomach and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Civil Lines. He is said to be out of danger.

resides with his family in police line quarters. He was on duty when the incident happened.
Confirming the incident, the Deputy commissioner of police,
Ashwani Kapoor said, "The constable has shot self with his service weapon during his duty in police line. It seems to be an accidental incident as the cop has suffered a bullet injury in stomach. However this would be ascertained once he gains conscious."
The official added that head Constable is undergoing treatment in hospitals and his condition in stated to be stable.
