LUDHIANA: Amandeep Singh, a resident of Govindpura, here, is on cloud nine. As, he features as Shahid Kapur's friend in 'Mausam', which will be released on September 15.
With the movie's music released, the song, 'saj dhaj ke tashan mein rehna', is a hit among his family and friends. Amandeep said, "It was great working with Shahid and Sonam Kapoor.
I have played an important role in the flick and have just returned after completing its dubbing." About his future plans, he said, "Right now, I am concentrating on another movie 'Tere nal love ho gaya'. Directed by Mandeep Kumar, it has Genelia, Ritesh Deshmukh and Om Puri in the lead roles. Abhishek Bachchan is in a cameo role."
His father Hardeep Singh, a businessman, mother Harjinder Kaur, a homemaker, and two sisters Sarabjeet Kaur and Sukhbir Kaur said, "We are happy that he has made a debut with 'Mausam' and worked with big stars." His aunt Gurmmet Kaur, a homemaker of Jamalpur, said, "We love its songs and are awaiting its release." His uncle Inderjeet Singh, a businessman and resident of Sector 32, said, "Amandeep is talented... he has done theatres too. We are confident that 'Mausam' will be a big hit." His cousins Gagandeep Kaur, who studies in class VI, and Sukhpreet Singh, a class V student, said, "We are proud of him... everyone in the school knows about his debut. His career has taken off well."
