LUDHIANA: Guru Nanak Public School (GNPS) organized a fete on Monday to herald spring season.
While deputy commissioner Rahul Tewari inaugurated the event, president of GNPS managing committee Jasbir Singh, general secretary of the school Surinder Singh and principal Mona Singh were also present.
The fete was organized as a fundraiser for special children of 'Ek Prayas', an NGO.

Officials said more than Rs 50,000 were collected on the day. Meanwhile, it was colourful bonanza at the school as thrilling games like chocolate wheel, tambola, coins in the bucket, song on demand, hoopla and feeding the clown kept everybody engrossed.
The day's main attraction was kite flying competition, which was not only enjoyed by the public but also the guest of honour and other dignitaries. Special personality tests were carried out to check the stress levels of students in view of the upcoming final exams.
