Ludhiana: As voters sealed the fate of candidates and the political parties after casting their vote on Sunday, most of the candidates from across the parties looked confident about their victory from their respective constituencies.
Cabinet minister and Congress candidate from west constituency, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, who looked confident of his victory said, “We created a friendly atmosphere in the constituency and also sought vote in the name of development and not even a single incident of violence was reported here.”

Bansal after casting the vote said, “Like I voted for bringing a change in Punjab, I am sure voters are not going to miss this chance and vote for change.”
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) candidate from Atam Nagar constituency,
Harish Rai Dhanda
said, “The response of voters is good and I am hopeful of good results. I also prayed to God for peaceful elections in the constituency, as Atam Nagar has already witnessed violence earlier.” He further complained that he reported to the concerned returning officials about distribution of money in some locations, but no action was taken by them.”
BJP candidate from west constituency, advocate
Bikram Sidhu
said, “I want to thank all the voters for peaceful voting and the kind of support they showered on me. We are confident enough to win this seat and help in forming the BJP government in the state.”
Ashok Prashar, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from central constituency said, “The voting remained peaceful and public supported a lot. I am really hopeful to get elected and bring development in the constituency as well as city.”
