Ludhiana: From leopard spots to zebra lines, animal prints are making a comeback in Ludhiana. This time around, these prints are there on almost everything wearable - T-shirts, dresses, clutch bags, and even those three-inch heels!
Be it older women, school-going girls, or even Enfield-riding boys, the designs are a hit amongst all age-groups. "I love wearing funky print tops," says Irvin Kainth from Nitish Vihar. "I pair them with denims; they are amazing and look funky."
Manpreet Gill, a student of fashion design, believes a light-coloured dress with funky prints and animal print shoes gives you a perfect look in summers.
So much is the craze for these prints that Aman Sachdeva, a home-maker and resident of Model Town, got a dress designed with a leopard print on it. "I have a clutch bag with the same print, and paired the two," she says. "I really like such prints, and have a wide range of them in my wardrobe."
Simar Dhir, a graduate student from Sarabha Nagar, says she prefers to dress up in some prints which give her a "wild feeling". "So, animal prints are the best I love to wear," she says.
Jasjot Kaur, a nail artist, says there is a craze for leopart print nail art too. "So many ladies ask for leopard prints. They look quirky and trendy at the same time," she says.
