Ex-servicemen rally organized

BATHINDA: An ex-servicemen rally was organized by Chetak corps on Tuesday at Bathinda military station.
Lt Gen N S Ghei, general officer commanding Chetak corps was the chief guest at the rally attended by hundreds of ex-servicemen and their family members from six tehsils of Bathinda and Mansa districts.
A fly-past by helicopters, turned out to be the biggest bet.
Lt Gen N S Ghei, acknowledging the contribution of the brave soldiers from Punjab for their gallantry and dedication to the nation, counted the countless sacrifices made by them in line of their duty.
He also exhorted the youth to follow the legacy of their ancestors and join the Armed Forces.
Numerous stalls were put up by army and state agencies, which provided spot assistance to the ex-soldiers. Major General Kamal Chauhan, GOC sub area too was present.
