Superintendent of Zone D Amardeep Singh Gill said, ''We have issued a notice to the contractor and the boards have been cleaned up properly. If this continues, we would take an action against the contractor.''
Meanwhile, the residents rued that there was a need for a strict vigil over the doings of the contractor and the employees. Banker Amit Ahuja said, ''I was asked to pay Rs 20 for four hours while the right amount is Rs 10. I did not park my car following heated arguments with the contractor.''
Similarly, the market traders had filed a petition in Punjab and Haryana high court against the issue. The hearing in this case will be on May 25. A member of Traders and Property Owners Association said there were so many irregularities in the market and MC authorities had turning a blind eye towards these.
