Criminals hurl bricks at house, vandalise cars

A criminal named Raman Rajput and his accomplices threw stones and sticks at a house, vandalized cars, and intimidated the complainant, Monika Rani. A case was filed two days after the incident. The accused are being traced and it is likely that they are wanted in three separate cases.

Ludhiana: Wanted in attempted murder cases, notorious criminal Raman Rajput and his accomplice hurled stones and sticks at the house of his rival in Guru Arjun Dev Nagar. He then vandalised cars parked in the locality. Division number 7 police lodged an FIR two days after the incident on Monday.
A case has been registered against Raman Rajput, Neeraj Rajput, Sagar Verma and their five unidentified accomplices under sections 323 (Voluntarily causing hurt), 427 (Mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees), 506 (Criminal intimidation), 148 (Rioting, armed with deadly weapons) and 149 (Every member of unlawful assembly guilty of offence committed in prosecution of common object) of the IPC.

The complainant, Monika Rani of Guru Arjun Dev Nagar said early on January 14, she was at home when she heard noises outside. She rushed upstairs and saw miscreants who were armed with sticks and blunt weapons. She said that they started pelting stones and bricks at her house and were calling for her brother Sonu Kumar, who lived with her but had moved out sometime ago. She said that the accused vandalised the cars parked in the locality before fleeing.
Investigating officer ASI Jaspal Singh from Division number 7 police station stated that the accused are being traced. Preliminary inquiry suggests that earlier, Sonu and Raman Rajput were friends but differences cropped up and they parted ways.
Raman Rajput and his accomplices are wanted by the police in three separate cases, including two murder bid cases of April, 2022 and June 2022.
