LUDHIANA: Students in the city were all set to bunk school and college, while working residents were willing to sneak out for a bit and head to a mall on Ferozepur Road - all so that they could see Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan. But SRK did not arrive and the fans were terribly disappointed.
Khan was supposed to visit the city for promoting his upcoming movie 'Ra.One'.
Sources at the mall said, the star could visit on Wednesday.
Despite their disappointment, the city wished that the movie would become Khan's greatest success.
Swastika Khosla, a resident of Haibowal who studies in Panjab University, Chandigarh, had decided to skip classes on Tuesday and came home on Monday. "I was desperate to meet the man who has won the country's heart and was terribly disappointed that his trip got postponed,'' she said.
Ramandeep Singh said he and some friends had taken leave from work just so that they could get the chance to shake hands with Khan. "But we are willing to wait for an experience so great,'' he said.
Civil Lines-resident Mallika Khullar and her son Shobhit swear by Khan's name. "We don't miss a single movie of SRK and are his friends on Facebook also. We were very excited that we would get to see him in person and a little disappointed that it didn't work out for him,'' she said.
