Ludhiana: Central Board of Secondary Education (
CBSE) Term 1 result has been declared and communicated to the respective schools, which the students can access on Monday. But Class
XII
results are yet to be announced, said sources.
Only scores of theory papers have been communicated, as internal assessment and practical scores were already available with the schools. The CBSE Term 1 result does not have the pass or fail status, but only gives students their score in the Term 1 MCQ-based papers.
“It was second Saturday off in most of the schools so students would connect with their schools to get their CBSE results on Monday, as they will not be available on the CBSE website,” said
Harmeet Waraich
, principal of Nanakana Public School, Gill Road and also deputy CBSE Coordinator.
This was for the first time that students will be getting to see the checked answer sheets without applying for any answer sheet review.
"Result of XII is really important, but that has not been declared. Earlier, they were not planning to release but soon CBSE was pressurised as ICSE had declared its results,” said one of the city-based school’s principal, who did not want to be named.
Waraich said, “Students will be informed on Monday at their respective schools. We can show them the answer sheets to make them realize where they stand and the amount of hard work they need for final exams. Even now, students are not out from online mode. Therefore, making them realize and work on their the problems has become imperative.”
Schools will add internal assessment too, added Waraich.
CBSE city coordinator
Paramjit Kaur
said, “Students are not that excited as these are not complete assessment.”
On term 2 exams,
Kaur
said, “Now, the pressure would be more for both teachers and students. They both need to be vigilant.” She also claimed that result of Class XII will be declared soon.
