LUDHIANA: Whereas the local leadership of District
Congress Committee (DCC) staged protest on the first anniversary of the announcement of demonetization in the morning, the district level
BJP leaders also staged a protest against the corrupt practices during Congress regime on Wednesday outside DCC office near Clock Tower. The district BJP leaders burnt the effigy of corruption after carrying out a protest march from Clock Tower to DCC office.
The BJP leaders claimed that Congress has been observing November 8 as black day and the Congress leaders were making hue and cry over demonetization but the
Congress party has failed in giving corruption free government.
The district BJP president Ravinder Arora said after
Modi government's demonetization decision, the economy of country has started getting financially stable. "After demonetization business of fake companies came to an end and people are getting home loans at cheaper rates. In one year digital transactions have increased and people are using several apps for sending and receiving money," he said.
Taking a dig at Congress' protest Arora said that country is becoming Congress free but a few Congress leaders who are still left are raising hue and cry over demonetization because they do not have sincere issues to be raised and the funding which was coming through black marketers has also stopped. He alleged that congress leaders showing crocodile tears to the public just to befool them and remain in news by condemning the works done by PM
Narendra Modi.
