JALANDHAR: A local court on Thursday granted bail to former Punjab chief minister and SAD patriarch Parkash Singh

Badal (94) appeared before the court of additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM) Rupinder Singh and was granted bail in the case of alleged forgery while amending and submitting the constitution of the party to statutory authorities. and the party’s Hoshiarpur district president was filed in February 2009. However, the court had summoned only three leaders only — the Badals and Cheema. Sukhbir and Cheema have already secured bails in the case.

Hoshiarpur activist Balwant Singh Khera, chairman of Malta Boat Tragedy Probe Mission, had accused the SAD of submitting two different constitutions — one with the Gurdwara Election Commission (before the 2004 SGPC polls and the second with the Election Commission of India to seek recognition as a political party.
