After Sidhu Moosewala, Sippy Gill now case against Punjabi singer Amrit Mann on accusations of promoting gun culture

BATHINDA: After noted Punjabi singers Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu aka Sidhu Moosewala and Sippy Gill now Bathinda police registered case against noted Punjabi singer Amrit Mann for a song allegedly promoting gun culture.
The case has been registered after thorough investigations u/s 294 sings, recites or utters any obscene song) and 504 IPC(intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) on the complaint of Chandigarh based advocate Hari Chand Arora made to Bathinda police on February 5.

The video clip of the 2018 song ‘mai te meri rafal rakane combination choti da, raunda warga nature jatt da chun chun very thoki da’(me and my rifle have a top combination, the nature of the Jatt is like cartridges and enemy is eliminated after finding him) was doing the rounds in the social media.
Taking the song to be against the directions issued by Punjab and Haryana High Court issued on July 22, 2019 while disposing of a bunch of petitions, Arora had approached the police to register the case.
Singer Amrit Mann belongs to Goniana nearly 15 kilometres from Bathinda. Advocate HC Arora had sent complaint to Punjab Home Secretary, Director General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police Bathinda asking them to take steps for removal of song by Amrit Mann and other similar videos from You Tube and to take appropriate action against the singer in the light of directions by Punjab and Haryana high court against glorifying the liquor, wine, drugs and violence in any song. Arora has threatened to file contempt of court if compliance is not done in a month.
