LUDHIANA: On September 3, Ludhiana would play host to 'Adhe Adhure' (The Incomplete Ones), a Hindi comedy play produced and directed by Lillete Dubey. The play is being brought to the city by Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam and it would be staged at at Guru Nanak Bhawan, Ferozepur Road. This would be the 83rd programme of Ludhiana Sanskritik Samagam in the city.

Considered a classic, 'Adhe Adhure', was written by Sahitya Akademi Award winner Mohan Rakesh. It opened on June 1 in Mumbai at National Centre for Performing Arts and has been staged all over India.
LSS general secretary S K Rai said the play is Mohan Rakesh's powerful and moving portrait of a marriage. "It has been a theatrical delight for over 50 years and is one of the most performed plays," he added.
The play stars Lillete Dubey, Ira Dubey, Mohan Agashe, Anuschka Sawhney, Rajeev Siddhartha, Bhola Sharma, Pradeep Vaiddya, Altaf Shaikh, among others.
LSS vice-president Amrit Nagpal said 'Adhe Adhure' is the story of life in contemporary society. "It talks about a middle-class family on the brink of collapse. The play has won Sangeet Natak Akademi Award," he said.
A member of LSS, Suresh Sharma, said Lillete Dubey has been showcasing her play at Ludhiana for over 10 years. "Padma Shree Mohan Agashe is a man of diverse worlds. On one side, he is a psychiatrist by profession and works as a professor of psychiatry at BJ Medical College and Sassoon Hospital in Pune, India, on the other, he has made a name in cinema and theatre," he added.
