LUDHIANA: To remain connected with Hogwarts and its wizarding hero, many die-hard fans of Harry Potter films from Ludhiana are lining up to get themselves registered on a new interactive website. Called www.pottermore.com, the site will be thrown open to Potter's ardent followers in October.
To be a free website, it would be an attempt to take forward Harry's legacy, albeit digitally.
We got talking to Ludhiana's young, asking them what they thought of the new site.
Tavleen Kaur, a resident of BRS Nagar and a student of Class XII, said, ''As I won't be able to catch the boy wizard on cinema screens after his last movie, I have got registered on its interactive website. Most of his fans will go for it.''
Six-year-old Jasinayat Kaur, a resident of Sarabha Nagar, said, ''I will definitely miss Harry Potter movies. I have become a member on its website, as it will provide a substitute and keep his fans updated on the related issues.'' Jasinayat is a Class I student of Sat Paul Mittal School in the city.
Eight-year-old Vanya, who studies in Class II of Sat Paul Mittal School and lives in Gurdev Nagar, said, ''My friend told me about www.pottermore.com. It has the same look as Harry Potter films. I will log in again on July 31 to confirm my registration. But, we will have to wait for a few months before it opens.''
Isha Kaur Amrit, a resident of Vikas Nagar, said, 'I wish the film's series continue. But as 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows ' part II' will be the last one, I have registered on its website so that its experience lives on.' Isha is 10 years old and studies in Sacred Heart Convent School.
Meanwhile, the site will feature an 'environment' based on the books. J K Rowling, who officially announced in a computer-graphic filled YouTube introductory about Pottermore, said it would exclusively sell the first e-books of the Harry Potter series.
