LUDHIANA: Eight students from Ludhiana bagged ranks in top 1,000 in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-2022), conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in July 2022.

A total of 2,272 out of 2,399 total registered students had appeared for the NEET this year.

Yashik Bansal of DCM Presidency School topped the district, bagging all-India rank (AIR) of 92. He secured 700 out of 720 marks with 99.99 percentile. He scored 99.96 percentile in physics, 99.97 percentile in chemistry, and 99.87 percentile in biology. Asmita Sharma with AIR 128 and Someil Gupta AIR 157 from Kundan Vidya Mandir were second and third in the district, respectively. Others who cracked NEET were Ishita Bedi from DAV School, BRS Nagar; Raghvi Aggarwal with AIR 592; Anusha Sharma of KVM AIR 690; Gurbir Singh AIR 770; and Dilnaaz Kaur Sidhu from Sacred Heart Convent School AIR 857.
