6-year-old killed in accident

Ludhiana: A six-year-old girl was killed and eight members of her family were injured after their car was hit by a speeding truck on GT Road near Khanna. Two of the injured sustained serious injuries. Sources said the family members from Patiala were on their way back from a wedding in Ludhiana when the incident occurred. Near Khanna, their car reportedly hit a deep pothole on GT Road, resulting in a flat tyre. The driver stopped the vehicle on the roadside and as he began changing the tyre, a truck coming from behind rammed into it. The impact was so severe that the car overturned. Sources said six-year-old Navdeep Kaur died on the spot. Sharanjit Kaur and Dimple sustained serious injuries, while the remaining family members suffered minor injuries. One person and a young child had a narrow escape.
