5 booked for securing loan using fake documents

Ludhiana: Police booked five accused in a fraud case after they allegedly took loan from a bank using fake documents.The accused were identified as Jaswinder Kaur, her husband Sukhdev Singh, her sons Hardeep Singh, Mandeep Singh and Hardeep's wife Rekha Rani, all of Kailash Nagar.Complainant Vinod Kumar of Phillaur told the cops that the accused had hatched a conspiracy and prepared fake documents in the name of his deceased father Namdev. He added that one of them took over his deceased father’s identity and transferred his property in his own name.The complainant said later the accused took a loan of Rs 6.21 lakh on the same property, thereby committing a fraud. He added that after he came to know about it, he lodged a complaint with Ludhiana police in May this year.Police officials said after a probe into the matter, a case of cheating, forgery and criminal conspiracy was registered against all the accused.

Pune man accuses son of flat documents theft, forgery to avail Rs 1 crore loan

A shopowner in Pune has accused his missing son of stealing documents and forging his signature to secure a Rs1.2 crore loan from a bank. The shopkeeper was unaware of the loan until the bank contacted him for repayment. He has now filed a complaint of cheating and forgery against his son, as well as the bank officials and a direct sales agent involved in disbursing the loan. The police are investigating the case and tracking down the bank officials involved. In related news, two gangs in Hyderabad have been arrested for obtaining bank loans through forged documents.

Man booked for forgery to help accused secure bail

An unidentified man in Pune has been charged with furnishing forged documents as surety for an accused in a cheating case. The accused, Dharmesh Shah, was granted bail by a magisterial court against a surety of $50,000. However, when the court sent the documents for verification, it was revealed that the property owner, Vijay Gopale, denied knowing the accused. The police are now considering canceling Shah's bail plea.

Mother accuses cops of killing son in fake encounter in Bastar

The mother of one of the Maoists killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh has claimed that her son was innocent and accused the police of burning the bodies. The police identified the slain Maoists as members of the Tadmetla area committee, accused of several murders. Villagers have staged protests demanding an investigation into the alleged fake encounter. The Chhattisgarh Kisan Sabha has accused the police of killing innocent villagers and burning their bodies. The organization demands the arrest of the police officers involved and compensation for the victims' families.
