Ludhiana: Sudhar police booked three persons, including the brother of a woman, after one of them allegedly opened fire during a family quarrel. The accused are Gurlal Singh, Gurpreet Singh Gopi and Kuldeep Singh, all residents of Dhillon Patti Bhikhi in Mansa.
The complainant, Rachpal Kaur of Dango village in Jodhan said that her sister Jaspal Kaur has two sons; both are married. She said that on May 24, she visited her ailing brother in hospital and went to her sister's house in Halwara village. Her sister told her that her elder son Jasjit Singh's wife Gagandeep Kaur had a minor quarrel with her and had told her family about it. Later, Gagandeep’s brother Gurlal, Gurpreet and Kuldeep came and started arguing with them. Gurpreet Gopi got angry and fired a few shots in the air and on the ground with his revolver. She alleged that shrapnel from the ground fire hit her in the right leg. She said that the accused left the house with Gagandeep. A case has been filed. tnn
