23 CAPF companies for Sangrur bypoll

PATIALA: General Observer Mohammad Zubair Ali Hashmi, appointed by the Election Commission of India for the by-election of Lok Sabha constituency Sangrur, on Tuesday reviewed the election preparations and instructed to hold the entire election process in transparent, fair and safe manner.


Mohammad Zubair Ali Hashmi also reviewed the security arrangements with paramilitary force officers, jawans and Punjab Police officers who will be deployed in the 9 assembly constituencies.

It may be recalled that 23 companies of Central Armed Police Force and 8 companies of State Armed Force have been deployed in Lok Sabha constituency Sangrur.
