Ludhiana: Two students died and one was injured after the motorcycle they were riding on rammed a wrongly-parked truck on Bandargah road near Lahera village here on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Vipanjeet Singh, 19, and
Naveen Muhammad from Ahmedgarh. Sarfaraz from the same area sustained injuries.
The
accident took place at around 2.30pm, when the trio was on its way to attend an
IELTS class.
Vipanjeet’s father Kamaljit Singh said that on receiving information about the same, he rushed to the area and saw that his son had died on the spot and his two friends Naveen Mohamad and Sarfaraz were severely injured.
He added that Naveen, who was taken to DMC hospital, died due to excessive blood loss during surgery. Meanwhile, police have registered a case under Sections 304-A (causing death by negligence) and 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) of the IPC against the driver of the parked vehicle, who is yet to be identified. tnn
