Zika virus advisory for hospitals in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: The health department on Monday issued an advisory for hospitals in Lucknow for screening, prevention, and treatment of Zika virus cases.

Directions have been issued to scan all people who have returned from a country where Zika virus cases are being reported and are coming to hospital with fever, rashes on skin, pain in muscles or joints, red eyes and headache.

“The prevention of Zika virus cases will be done via regular surveillance and integrated management,” said chief medical officer Dr Manoj Agrawal.
