Lucknow: Qualifying rounds of the Yonex Sunrise Dr Akhilesh Das Gupta Memorial All-India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2024 were held at BBD Badminton Academy here on Tuesday.The winners of the qualifying round will now participate in the main draw. In the men's singles category, Rishank of UP defeated Siddharth Thakur of Maharashtra 15-10, 16-16, 15-8. Siddhant Salar of UP entered the main round directly due to the absence of Mohit Govada of Karnataka. Harshit Tomar of UP defeated 13th seed Dhruv Bansal of Chandigarh 15-13, 13-15, 17-15 to enter the main round.In women's singles, Taranjeet Kaur defeated Harni Raja of Tamil Nadu 14-16, 15-2, 15-10 to enter the main draw. In the men's doubles category, Arsh Mohammad entered the main round with his partner Shankar Saraswat (Rajasthan).
