Yogi to hold three rallies in Bengal today
TNN
Lucknow: As West Bengal enters the final leg of campaigning before the first phase of elections on April 23, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will hold three rallies in support of NDA candidates on Saturday.
A BJP spokesperson said that the UP CM, considered one of the party’s strongest Hindutva faces, will take part in a series of programmes from the northern part of the state to the south.
The CM is scheduled to reach the Mathabhanga Assembly constituency in Cooch Behar district at noon to address a public rally in support of BJP candidate Nisith Pramanik. Thereafter, he will take a helicopter to the Dhupguri Assembly constituency in Jalpaiguri district, where he will address another public meeting at 1.20 pm in support of BJP candidate Naresh Chandra Roy.
His third and final stop for the day will be Bankura, where he will participate in a roadshow at 4.15 pm in support of BJP candidate Niladri Shekhar Dana.
“The UP CM’s programmes are witnessing massive crowds and are being seen as a significant indicator of things to come in the ongoing election. There is tremendous eagerness among people to catch a glimpse of Yogi Adityanath,” said the spokesperson.
