Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) organised a felicitation ceremony in Lucknow on Wednesday to felicitate the winners of state level skill competition 2025-26. The event celebrated young achievers who excelled in various skill categories and highlighted the state's growing focus on youth empowerment and modern training.
The ceremony, held at UPSDM headquarters, recognised 40 winners across 20 different skill trades. Principal secretary, skill development & entrepreneurship, Hari Om, along with mission director Pulkit Khare, presented trophies and certificates to the winners. Both the officials interacted with the participants, discussing their training experiences and future goals while encouraging them to prepare for higher-level competitions.

"The govt is committed to providing youth with modern, job-oriented and globally competitive skills. Such competitions build confidence, create healthy competition and open pathways for youth to represent India at international platforms," Hari Om said.
Khare described the competition as a strong foundation for identifying and grooming talent for national and global stages. He announced that all 40 winners would attend a special boot camp on Feb 4-5, where experts would train them for the north region's skill competition.
Additional mission director Priya Singh highlighted the mission's efforts to improve training quality and promote self-reliance through skill development.
