Lucknow: A woman's body was found in a mustard field on Tuesday afternoon after she went missing at midnight in Lucknow's Gosainganj area.
DCP South, Nipun Agarwal, said the woman's husband filed a missing person's report on Tuesday, saying his wife was asleep in a hut on his farm but he found her missing when he woke up in the morning, prompting police to lodge a missing report. "Later, the man said his wife's body was found a few metres away from the hut," the DCP said. As soon as information reached police, they arrived at the spot, took the body into their custody and sent it for post mortem. A heavy police force was deployed on the spot.
