Woman found dead near Kisan Path

Lucknow: The body of a 30-year-old woman was found near Kisan Path near Puranpur village in Mohanlalganj area on Monday evening. The deceased was identified as Savita Devi, wife of one Sanjay, a resident of Dadayin Sarathua village.
ADCP (South) Amit Kumawat said on receiving information family members of the deceased reached the site and accused her husband of murder. They also resisted police attempts to recover the body, demanding immediate action against Sanjay, who is absconding. The family claimed that Sanjay, a shuttering labourer, was in regular contact with Savita's cousin despite her objections, which led to their frequent fights over the past several months. Later, senior officials, including the ADCP South, reached the site with additional police force to control the situation.
The body had deep injury marks on head and around the neck.
