KANPUR: Three persons, including a woman constable, were killed in a late night incident here on Thursday.
The gory incident was the result of a domestic brawl between two families in the high-security jail colony, where gunfire was exchanged at around 9:30 pm resulting in the deaths.
According to police officials who rushed to the spot on hearing the news, all the deceased belonged to one family and were gunned down by a cop and his two sons.

The deceased were identified as 45-year-old Kirta Devi (woman constable) and her two sons Pankaj (20) and Pawan (26).
Police said that Kirta Devi had a tiff with Munindra Shukla over a trifle issue which spun out of control.
Later the verbal duel resulted in the bloodbath when sons of Shukla, posted in the district jail, brought countrymade pistols and opened fire on Kirta Devi and her two sons.
All the three died on the way to hospital. Police have arrested the accused cop Munindra Shukla while his two sons Anjani and Pintoo managed to escape from the scene.
Tension and panic has gripped the locality and senior police officers have rushed to the spot.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
