LUCKNOW: The housing department on Monday gave its nod to
Lucknow Development Authority
proposal on allowing commercial activity and change of land use in
residential areas
.
The LDA decisions were taken on December 21 but were put on hold following the transfer of then LDA vice-chairman. Lucknow DM
Satyendra Singh was given the additional charge of LDA VC on December 22. On Monday, the proposal was given a go-ahead by principal secretary, housing department, Sadakant, LDA vice-chairman Satyendra Singh and LDA secretary
Arun Kumar. Officials said total 71 cases of land use change from residential to commercial and around 300 applications for starting commercial activities in LDA’s residential areas are pending with the development authority.
